About Pastor Elisha

They say ‘like father like son’ and that defines Rev. Dr. Elisha; a man of God raised in a house of faith a walked the on the footsteps of his own late father Mr. Atieno Onim who was the founder and Bishop of Christ Evangelistic Association (C.E.A) until his death.

Born and raised in a God-fearing peasant family of six, Rev. Dr. Elisha toiled in the farm and attended primary and secondary school and worked on common errands and household chores peculiar to the boys of his generation.

His love for God became evident when he gave his life to Christ in the High School and soon after took over the leadership of Christian Union. Because education is critical to ministering effectively to the hurting world, Rev. Dr. Elisha set his heart to pursue undergraduate studies in Project Planning and Management which gave him an edge and latitude for a Christian job as a home manager with kids Alive. This children ministry gave him the requisite impetus to study the word of God as is the tradition of all effective ministers; theology. After this second graduation, masters, Rev. Elisha enrolled and graduated with a Doctoral degree.

Dr. Elisha is a married and happily wedded family man with one wife and three loving children who are also keen to follow in their father’s step.

Rev. Elisha is equally a model for stewardship and tent making according to the apostle Paul. His love for farming and entrepreneur is well known in his commitment to farming and training of the community in diverse areas of agriculture. He farms his food and is a sole proprietor of a local business in the area that is popular both with the believers and non-beliers.

Dr. Elisha has founded Nyakach Faith Bible Institute and Development Studies, and is currently involved in facilitating multiple seminars and trainings with CCI, mobilizing a lot of Agricultural and relief activities as well as spearheading low cost Bible and other Christian literature distribution around the country.
